Investigation of the prediciton method for the active control force requirements
This paper takes the active-passive vibration isolation as the research object and the one DOF prediction method and the transfer function prediction method are studied to predict the active control force requirements. First the one DOF prediction method is introduced and the effect of the damping ratio of the isolation system on the active control force requirement is analyzed. Then the transfer function prediction method is put forward. A four-channel active-passive vibration isolation system model based on a flexible plate is built and its simulation results reveal that the transfer function prediction method is more accurate than the one DOF prediction method. Finally, vibration line spectra control experiments are conducted on a floating raft active-passive isolation device with two air compressors mounted. Active control forces are compared via the one DOF prediction method and the transfer function prediction method, as well as the experimental results. It is found that the tested output forces of the six actuators are greater than the prediction results via the one DOF prediction method, but close to the prediction results via the transfer function prediction method. It is concluded that the transfer function prediction method is more accurate for active control force prediction and helpful to guide engineering design.
