Medal Forecast for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Based on Neural Networks and Time Series Analysis

To predict the number of medals for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, this article will employ neural network multiple linear regression models, time series analysis, and other modeling methods for analysis and forecasting. Constructing a neural network regression model with four influencing factors to predict the medal standings. First, establish a multivariate linear regression model based on time series to determine the impact of historical medal counts and the host country on the medal standings. Then, by processing the data, obtain the values for two secondary influencing factors: the number of times each country has participated in the Olympics and the year they first participated. Finally, input these four factors into the neural regression network model to obtain the predicted values for the 2028 medal standings.
