Research on active noise control system of turboprop aircraft cockpit
This study addresses the challenge of low-frequency noise in turboprop aircraft cockpits by proposing an improved multi-channel Active Noise Control (ANC) system based on the Filtered-x Least Mean Square (FxLMS) algorithm. To mitigate the high computational complexity of conventional multi-channel ANC systems, a LabVIEW-based simulation platform is developed, incorporating frame-based processing, secondary path dynamic compression, and multi-core parallel computing to reduce system delay. To enhance convergence speed and adaptability in dynamic acoustic environments, a Variable Step Size (VSS-FxLMS) algorithm is introduced. Simulation results under multi-frequency excitation (60–310 Hz) demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves up to 5.38 dB improvement in Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and over 70% reduction in convergence time compared with the fixed-step FxLMS. Moreover, when faced with abrupt noise source variations, the VSS-FxLMS algorithm shows superior reconvergence ability, outperforming the baseline algorithm in both response time and residual noise levels.
