MANAGEMENT OF MINERAL INSULATING OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, CENTRAL OIL PLANT

In most elements of the high voltage power equipment of the transmission system of the Joint Stock Company „Elektromreža Srbije“ Belgrade (hereinafter: EMS AD), mineral insulating oil is used as an insulating and cooling agent (power transformers, high-voltage switches, current and voltage measuring transformers). One of the most important processes in the system of maintenance and exploitation of electric power facilities is the process of managing mineral insulating oil. As part of a project funded by the European Union, which was implemented by AETS in cooperation with employees from EMS AD, an analysis of the mineral insulating oil management process was carried out. Based on the analysis, the most optimal scenario for improving the mineral insulating oil management process related to the construction of the central oil plant was presented. In accordance with the above, EMS AD, as a socially responsible company, has set a strategic goal – the establishment of a central oil plant, the realization of which is in the final phase. The paper presents a continuous long-term activity on the improvement of the mineral insulating oil management process through the modernization of the technological system, the organization of work and the preparation of internal documents within the project of building a central oil plant, all with the aim of ensuring quality maintenance of equipment, optimizing the amount of mineral insulating oil, environmental protection and fire protection. The central oil plant can be considered a project of sustainable development from the aspect of energy transition, economic and socially responsible business, environmental safety and rational use of resources.
