Improving paint identification using infrared and terahertz spectroscopy

A new vacuum FTIR spectrometer allowed measuring spectra of paints in the mid-IR to THz range without change of optical components. Extension spectra to the THz range improved paint identification. A library of the most common pigments in MIR-THz is developed.
