Polarized multiplexing using a spatially separated approach based on polarization holography
Polarization holography holds tremendous potential for multidimensional data storage. Based on the proposed optical polarized orthogonal matrix, it has surpassed the limitation of having only 2 polarization orthogonal states. Previous research has demonstrated that polarization holography possesses the property of orthogonal null-reconstruction, implying its potential for multi-polarization multiplexing. Traditional approaches utilized single-polarization modulation to achieve polarization multiplexing, but each set of orthogonal light in the optical polarized orthogonal matrix is composed of multiple polarizations, rendering previous experimental setups obsolete. In this paper, a spatial separation method to realize multi-polarization multiplexing for the optical polarized orthogonal matrix mode is proposed. Through experiments, we have successively achieved individual and parallel reconstruction of 4-channel and 8-channel polarization multiplexing with negligible crosstalk. Given the scalability of the optical polarized orthogonal matrix, the proposed spatial separation approach enables high-dimensional polarization multiplexing through polarization holography.
