ABORDAGENS ESTRATÉGICAS DE GESTÃO E GOVERNANÇA DE TI

This article explores strategic approaches to Information Technology (IT) management and governance and the challenges faced by organizations in the pursuit of business excellence. In recent years, there has been significant growth in companies' investment in computer systems, which are used to assist in operations and business strategy. The methodology applied included a review of national and international literature on IT management and governance, together with the analysis of practical cases in Brazilian companies. The results indicate that an integration between the concepts of IT strategy and business strategy is fundamental for business excellence. However, there are many challenges within the topic of technology applied in companies, such as resistance to change and technological complexity.
