OS DESAFIOS DAS PRÁTICAS ESTRATÉGICAS DE ESG NAS ORGANIZAÇÕES
This paper explores the complexities faced by companies when integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices into their corporate strategies. The general objective is to know the concepts and importance of strategic ESG practices in contemporary companies. Methodologically, it is a qualitative research, through a bibliographic research and analysis of case studies already applied by a company in the orange juice segment. The analysis reveals that despite the growing interest and pressure for social responsibility and sustainability, many organizations face significant challenges. First, the lack of a clear and uniform definition of ESG criteria makes it difficult to implement and evaluate practices. In addition, companies face difficulties in collecting and verifying reliable data for ESG reporting, which can compromise the transparency and credibility of the information disclosed. Another challenge highlighted is cultural resistance and lack of internal alignment. Many leaders and employees still do not see ESG as a strategic priority, which can lead to uneven and superficial implementation of practices. Finally, the research suggests that to overcome these challenges, companies must develop a clear and aligned vision on ESG, invest in robust data collection systems, and promote an internal cultural change that values sustainability and responsible governance.
