A IMPORTÂNCIA DOS SISTEMAS FLEXÍVEIS DE MANUFATURA

The usual manufacturing systems are usually limited in terms of flexibility. And being flexible is a requirement to meet the demands of the end consumer. Due to this, the FMS - Flexible Manufacturing Systems emerge. The objective of this research is to show the importance of flexibility in manufacturing through a systematic review of the literature. The flexible manufacturing system has advanced a lot over the years. Currently, with automation on the "factory floor", it is possible to achieve great speed and lower costs in the operation, as these advances allow the operation to be completed without the need for new equipment or tools. At the end of this research, the objective was achieved, as through a systematic review of the literature, the importance of flexibility in production systems was shown. This flexibility is important because it provides cost reduction and high productivity.
