Photoluminescence-based precise identification of halogen ratios in CsPbBr(3-x)Ix perovskite quantum dots
Our study aims to elucidate the relationship between halogen composition and PL characteristics in CsPbBr(3−x)Ix (x=0, 0.6, 1.2, 3) QDs decoupling quantum confinement. We synthesized the QDs via the hot-injection method, with precise control over the growth temperature. This approach was beneficial for us to achieve QD sizes of approximately ~11 nm (diameter), ensuring size uniformity and enabling a systematic analysis of the effects of halogen composition. To differentiate the influence of quantum confinement from compositional variations on PL wavelengths, we employed an infinite quantum well model, offering an effective explanation of the interplay between size and composition in these mixed-halide QDs. Our findings provide valuable insights into optimizing the PL properties of mixed-halide perovskite QDs for advanced optoelectronic applications.
