An Overview of Smart Microgrids
Driven by the global energy transition and dual-carbon goals, the smart microgrid, as a combination of distributed energy, energy storage technology and intelligent control, plays an important role in solving challenges such as diversification and volatility of renewable energy. This paper first expounds the definition of intelligent micro grid, classification, grid and island operation mode, and then focus on the layered control strategy: primary control for rapid response, secondary control to eliminate voltage / frequency deviation, three control optimization economic scheduling, but need through intelligent algorithm to solve multiple target conflict and optimization delay problem, and the summary of different types of energy storage form and the advantages of hybrid energy storage, energy storage capacity optimization and battery life management using some typical methods. Finally, analyze the technical challenges faced in the smart microgrid and put forward relevant suggestions. As the core of the new power system, smart microgrid will accelerate the realization of the goal of clean energy structure and carbon neutrality, and provide important support for global sustainable development.
