Coordinated Expansion Planning for Flexible Interconnected Distribution Networks and Charging Facilities Considering Semi-Dynamic Traffic Flow
This paper proposes a coordinated expansion planning method for flexible interconnected distribution networks (FIDNs) and charging infrastructure that incorporates semi-dynamic traffic flow modeling. The approach enhances the comprehensive investment efficiency of planning schemes while promoting the rational and orderly integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into the grid. First, the travel characteristics of different EV types are analyzed. A spatiotemporal scheduling model for EV charging-discharging is developed based on a semi-dynamic traffic flow model, which accounts for diverse charging modes. Subsequently, an FIDN expansion planning model is formulated by integrating the interactions of multiple flexibility resources on the generation-grid-load-storage sides. This model embeds operational simulations of a coupled power-transportation system and employs a decomposition-iteration approach to transform the original problem into a bi-level optimization framework. Finally, case studies using a modified 24-node distribution network coupled with a 29-node transportation network are conducted, validating the effectiveness of the proposed model and methodology.
