Analysis of Power Oscillation Characteristics of Wind Farm Power Generation System Based on Virtual Inertia Control
Variable speed wind turbines can provide inertial support to the system by releasing or absorbing rotor kinetic energy within a wide range of speed regulation, and the virtual inertia is flexible and adjustable. This article is based on the small signal stability analysis method of the power system, and derives the linearized state equation of the two area interconnected system. Theoretical analysis of the influence mechanism of inertia as an adjustable control parameter on the power oscillation characteristics of the system. Subsequently, a comprehensive inertia control strategy based on controllable inertia adjustment of wind farms was proposed to improve the dynamic stability of the two regional power grids after accepting large-scale wind power. By building an IEEE four machine two area power grid simulation model for analysis, it is verified that the interconnected power generation system can improve the frequency stability of the power grid and reduce system power oscillation by utilizing flexible inertia regulation under the proposed control scheme.
