Smart Agriculture Automation Using Embedded Systems: A Cost-Effective Approach to Precision Farming
This paper presents a smart agriculture automation system utilizing embedded systems as a cost-effective and sustainable solution for precision farming. The system integrates real-time environmental sensors (soil moisture, temperature, humidity), automated irrigation mechanisms, and Bluetooth-enabled communication for remote control and monitoring. A solar-powered mobile platform serves as the core of the system, enabling autonomous navigation and task execution such as irrigation and soil monitoring. Designed using components like Arduino Nano, DHT11 sensors, and relay modules, the system minimizes energy use and labor demands while optimizing resource efficiency. By leveraging embedded technologies, this approach enhances decision-making, improves crop yields, and supports sustainable agricultural practices. The proposed solution is scalable, making it suitable for small to medium-sized farms, especially in regions with limited access to conventional energy infrastructure.
