Research on Adaptive Frequency Regulation Control Strategy for Improved VSG-Based Grid-Forming Energy Storage in Wind-Storage Systems
To address the requirement for fast frequency recovery during dynamic processes in wind-storage systems, a novel adaptive frequency regulation control strategy with enhanced Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) is proposed. A dynamic small-signal model of VSG is developed for the grid-connected inverter in the energy storage system, and the impact of VSG parameters on system operational performance is quantitatively evaluated. The dynamic response characteristics of grid frequency regulation are investigated. Building upon conventional VSG control, an adaptive frequency regulation strategy is proposed, with stability analysis conducted under varying parameter conditions. A simulation platform is developed in MATLAB/Simulink environment, and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is validated through comprehensive case studies.
