Control Strategy of VIENNA Rectifier Based on Fractional Order PI Controller and Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Controller

This paper addresses the limitations of conventional PI control in Vienna rectifiers, including sluggish dynamic response and inadequate disturbance rejection. A dual-loop control strategy is proposed: fractional-order proportional-integral (FOPI) regulation for the inner current loop and linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) for the outer voltage loop. The FOPI design enhances dynamic adaptability through additional tuning parameters compared to integer-order PI, while LADRC mitigates voltage overshoot and transient delays inherent in PI-based voltage regulation. Experimental validation confirms improved settling time and suppressed DC-link overvoltage compared to traditional approaches.
