Optimal Operation of Concentrated Solar Power-Integrated Energy System for Thermoelectric Decoupling
This study addresses the thermoelectric coupling challenges in China’s northern regions under high renewable energy penetration scenarios by proposing a Concentrated Solar Power-Integrated Energy System (CSP-IES). The system leverages molten salt thermal energy storage to decouple heat and electricity generation, enhancing grid flexibility and carbon reduction. Integrating parabolic trough and tower solar technologies, the model incorporates multi-energy balance constraints, thermal storage optimization, and time-of-use electricity pricing mechanisms. Experimental results demonstrate that CSP-IES reduces wind/photovoltaic curtailment by 18-25% through thermal storage integration and achieves a 22% operational cost reduction via peak-valley arbitrage in the Beijing case study. The findings validate the model’s effectiveness in resolving rigid heat-electricity constraints and optimizing resource allocation, offering a critical technological foundation for low-carbon energy transitions in high-latitude regions.
