Coordinated Optimal Strategy for Day-Ahead and Intra-Day Operation of Distribution Network Considering the Active Support of Distributed Photovoltaic and Energy Storage System
To fully exploit the active support capability of distributed photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems (ESS) for distribution networks and improve operational efficiency and power supply quality, a coordinated optimal strategy for day-ahead and intra-day operation of distribution networks considering the active support of distributed PV and ESS is proposed. Accounting for the dispatch cost risk caused by PV and load forecasting errors, the conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) method is used for risk quantification. The day-ahead optimization model minimizes the distribution network’s operating cost and risk cost to formulate a day-ahead plan as a reference for intra-day optimization. The intra-day optimization model dispatches the active and reactive power of distributed PV and ESS, aiming to minimize the weighted voltage deviation, line loss, and ESS active power deviation, thereby enhancing power supply quality while ensuring economic efficiency. The proposed model is transformed into a second-order cone programming (SOCP) model for efficient solving. The strategy is validated using an IEEE 33-node system. Results demonstrate that the proposed strategy fully utilizes the active support capabilities of PV and ESS, effectively reduces operational costs, and significantly alleviates voltage violations.
