Identification of Key Control Parameters in Interconnected Multi-Grid-Forming Converter System Based on Universal Grid-Forming Control Strategy
This paper presents a novel parameter identification method to address the modeling and analysis challenges in interconnected multi-grid-forming converters (GFMCs) system where converter parameters are unavailable due to technical confidentiality. The proposed approach employs a two-stage identification process: initially identifying all control parameters excluding the proportional integral (PI) coefficients of the active/reactive power outer loops and voltage control loop from GFMC steady-state values, followed by application of a time-domain reconstruction algorithm to accurately identify the remaining PI parameters. Simulation and verification studies conducted on a six-GFMCs interconnected system using PSCAD/EMTDC demonstrate the effectiveness and precision of parameter identification.
