Fuzzy-Robust Joint Controller Design for Frequency Adjustment of Microgrid
Microgrid frequency control in islanded mode is one of the most significant recent study approaches. As microgrids become more and more integrated into power networks, control over them becomes increasingly crucial. The goal of this study is to quickly adjust the frequency of microgrids using fuzzy, PID and reset techniques. Thus, this paper first presents a model of an islanded microgrid with variable loads, storage, distributed energy and renewable resources. It then designs and presents a novel hybrid control technique in an innovative structure. Three components comprise the planned control technique: (1) fuzzy control scheme, (2) reset control technique, and (3) combined PID-reset technique. The planned procedure can quickly remove frequency errors and restore the islanded microgrid frequency in the quickest amount of time and with the fewest ups and downs and fluctuations because of the reset technique's robust feature, which not only quickly reduces frequency error but also enables it to overcome the limitations of linear controllers. Additionally, the innovative fuzzy PID-reset technique's intelligence contributes to this process. The planned technique has a high and convincing ability to overcome the model's uncertainty and disturbances on the system, even the most severe ones, as demonstrated by the simulation and comparison results in the MATLAB environment.
