DOENÇA DE BEHÇET ASSOCIADO À SACROILEÍTE EM ADOLESCENTE DO SEXO FEMININO
Behçet’s disease is a systemic vasculitis that can lead to severe neurological, ocular, and vascular complications. Its symptoms range from oral and genital ulcers, and skin lesions, to uveitis. Due to its wide spectrum of symptoms, varying from mild manifestations to severe forms, it significantly impacts patients’ quality of life. Sacroiliitis is an inflammatory lesion of the sacroiliac joints, causing pain and inability to perform daily activities. This case study aims to report the clinical evolution of a female adolescent patient diagnosed with Behçet’s disease associated with sacroiliitis. Given the scarcity of case reports addressing the association between these conditions and the fact that the patient is a female adolescent, this study seeks to contribute to current knowledge in this field. Thus, the case of the adolescent will be described and discussed, addressing diagnostic criteria, therapeutic interventions, and other challenges in managing this condition. In addition to sharing practical experiences, we compare our findings with existing literature to contribute to future case management strategies.
