PARÂMETROS FÍSICO-QUÍMICOS E MORFOPEDOLÓGICOS DO SOLO NA NUTRIÇÃO E CRIAÇÃO DE MANIHOT ESCULENTA CRANTZ (MANDIOCA/MACAXEIRA)

Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is recognized as one of the most important tropical crops, playing a strategic role in food security, family farming, and agroindustry. Despite its rusticity and broad edaphoclimatic adaptability, the crop’s productivity is significantly influenced by the soil’s physicochemical and morphopedological attributes. This systematic review aimed to analyze the most relevant edaphic parameters for cassava nutrition, root development, and yield performance, using the PRISMA protocol and selection criteria applied to publications from 2010 to 2025. The studies evaluated indicated that a pH range between 5.5 and 6.5, base saturation between 50% and 70%, and adequate potassium availability — the most exported nutrient by the crop — are determining factors for agronomic performance. Soil organic matter was highlighted for its contribution to cation exchange capacity (CEC), water retention, and gradual nutrient supply. From the morphopedological perspective, it was observed that toposequence position, effective soil depth, and drainage conditions regulate nutrient uptake and plant productivity. It is concluded that the integration of physicochemical and morphopedological parameters provides essential insights for soil management strategies, enabling more efficient input use, yield improvement, and advancement in the sustainability of cassava production systems.
