تحليل عناصر التكافؤ اللغوي في ترجمة التعابير الاصطلاحية القرآنية إلى اللغة الملايوية

Purpose of the Study: A Qur’anic term is a phrase whose meaning cannot be deduced from its literal meaning, nor can that meaning be separated from the meanings of its derivatives that are frequently used in the context of the revelation. This research aims to highlight the importance of achieving linguistic equivalence in translating a term from the religious discourse in the Holy Quran into Malay. This issue is considered as an important semantic indicator that can be relied upon in the process of conveying the meaning of a Quranic text from one language to another, especially in matters closely related to Islamic religious practices. Therefore, it requires more attention during the process of translating this type of idiomatic expressions, given their role in shaping religious technical concepts and achieving linguistic comprehension of Quranic directives. Furthermore, religion itself is considered one of the most important elements that regulate an individual's behavior toward themselves, their surrounding environment, and even the society in which they live. This is an important step toward creating a well-adjusted religious personality within a religious practice with clear ethical values and strong cultural bondage. Design/Methodology: As a preliminary study, it is an attempt to linguistically describe and compare some selected examples of Quranic idiomatic expressions translated into Malay language as used in the field of Islamic studies, especially to uncover the feasibility of the interconnection between derivative words and to identify the potential challenges in translating it from Arabic to Malay language. Findings: The finding answers the question of the relationship between the establishment of a conceptual meaning of a term and its users within a particular context and field of the subject matters and explain how it occurs based on its linguistic equivalence indicators. Research Limitations/Implications: The scope of the linguistic analysis used in this study does not cover the contemporary context of Arabic idiomatic expressions usage. Originality/Value: Idiomatic expression is a specific usage of an ordinary word within a particular language structure and usage. Therefore, it studies should be based on multi-discipline, structured methodological analysis and comprehensive findings, especially in the context of Quranic usage.
