Studies of non-equilibrium systems using rotational ballistic tweezers
Studying changes in viscosity can provide useful insight into the behaviour of dynamic environments. Ballistic measurements using rotational optical tweezers resolve viscosity in a fraction of the time of traditional measurements and have the unique advantage of being calibration-free and using low laser powers. This makes it ideal for performing ultrafast dynamic viscosity measurements in biological systems.
