Depth detection using the interpolation algorithm for coaxial fringe projections

An interpolation algorithm is presented for depth detection by means of coaxial fringe projections. Errors caused by low signal-to-noise ratios can be efficiently reduced. Accuracy of the retrieved 3D profile can be achieved in the order of micrometers.
