Some new forms of magnetic photonic crystals

Some new types of topological magnetic photonic crystals will be introduced, including disordered photonic alloys and gyromagnetic double-zero-index materials. The photonic alloy can support non-trivial topology and topological edge states even at very low concentrations of magnetic components. Meanwhile, the gyromagnetic double-zero-index photonic crystal demonstrates both novel near-field and far-field non-trivial topological characteristics.

Abstract

Some new types of topological magnetic photonic crystals will be introduced, including disordered photonic alloys and gyromagnetic double-zero-index materials. The photonic alloy can support non-trivial topology and topological edge states even at very low concentrations of magnetic components. Meanwhile, the gyromagnetic double-zero-index photonic crystal demonstrates both novel near-field and far-field non-trivial topological characteristics.
