High-performing organic phototransistors for NIR detection

Solution-processed organic thin film transistors' performance has significantly improved their charge carrier mobility. For circuity development, balanced transport is required between the holes and electrons, which can be enabled with the use of ambipolar organic materials. In addition, organic semiconductors can be easily chemically modified depending on the end application, which here is photodetection. In this talk, I will discuss several strategies to achieve high photoresponse and detectivity in NIR organic phototransistors (OPTs).

Abstract

Solution-processed organic thin film transistors' performance has significantly improved their charge carrier mobility. For circuity development, balanced transport is required between the holes and electrons, which can be enabled with the use of ambipolar organic materials. In addition, organic semiconductors can be easily chemically modified depending on the end application, which here is photodetection. In this talk, I will discuss several strategies to achieve high photoresponse and detectivity in NIR organic phototransistors (OPTs).
