PERTURBATION HEAT TRANSFER IN MULTI NANOFLUIDS- FILLED CONTAINER WITH IRREGULAR TEMPERATURE: MAXWELL VS MODIFIED MAXWELL

Mixed convection in a heat generating nanofluid filled square enclosure partially heated from below with uniform and non-uniform heating is numerically investigated. The vertical walls and the remaining portion of the bottom wall are insulated while the top wall is cooled with uniform velocity. The governing equations are solved by finite volume method on an uniformly staggered grid. The results are discussed for different combination of physical parameters, namely, Reynolds number, Grashof number, the non-dimensional perturbation and solid volume fraction. It has been observed that the rate of heat transfer increases with higher Reynolds number, Grashof number, and solid volume fraction. Uniform heating greatly boosts the overall heat transfer efficiency in contrast to non-uniform heating. The non-dimensional perturbation at 2 has a more significant effect on the temperature distribution than the other cases. The modified Maxwell model demonstrates a higher heat transfer rate than the standard Maxwell model.
