SOCIOLOGY OF POVERTY AND POVERTY OF SOCIOLOGY

In the article an author outlined the basic problems of poverty phenomenon research in modern sociology. The historical aspects of poverty research in west-european sociological tradition are separately examined. In addition, an author paid regard to passivity of modern domestic sociologists in research of the crisis phenomena which are accompanied deepening of poverty and impoverishment of population.
