This article examines the role of Kyrgyz improvisational poetry during the Great Patriotic War. It analyzes the creative work of akyns during this period, their contribution to raising the people’s spirit and strengthening patriotic sentiments. Based on historical documents, poems by akyns, and memoirs of contemporaries, the significance of improvisational poetry during wartime is revealed.
