A STUDY ON FACTORS INFLUENCING FINANCIAL STABILITY AND WELL-BEING AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS IN GUJARAT

The issue of financial health among college students is becoming increasingly prominent. The objective of this investigation is to investigate the correlation between the financial behavior of college students and the factors that influence their financial well-being. Data was collected by administering structured questionnaires to 417 individuals from different institutions in Gujarat. According to the results of structural equation modelling, it was shown that secondary socialization agents had a negative consequence on the financial experiences of college students. These factors encompassed their financial conduct, financial expertise, belief in their own abilities, internal sense of control, and inclination to take risks. Individuals' financial behaviour has a substantial impact on their capacity to handle their finances, thereby improving their financial well-being as judged by students. Typically, parents, college administrators, counselors, and educators are given implications and ideas for further study, teaching methods, and public policy.
