COINS, SEALS AND SEALINGS FROM SANGHOL: RECENT RESEARCH
This paper examines the coins of Sanghol, an archaeological site in Punjab, which provide key evidence of the region’s economic and cultural prosperity during the Kusha?a period. The discovery of coins, seals, sealings, and terracotta highlights Sanghol’s role as an important mint site with local coin production. The variety of coins reflects its significance as a centre of trade and craftsmanship, contributing to our understanding of Kusha?a monetary practices and the broader historical context of ancient India.
