INFORMATION AND INFORMATION SEEKING BEHAVIOR OF STUDENTS IN ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH THE PRISM OF THOMAS WILSON'S THEORY
The article outlined the main provisions of Thomas D. Wilson's theory of information behavior and information seeking, through which it is proven that in the context of online learning, the importance of information seeking as a way of organizing students' independent work becomes relevant. The influence of situational factors (environment, social roles, individual characteristics) on information search methods and information behavior is investigated. It is emphasized that in the process of preparing for classes, students usually choose the most convenient sources of information related to the latest information technologies (in particular, AI), but the lack of skills in their correct use significantly reduces the effectiveness of preparation.
