This research paper explores the current scenario of apprenticeship training and its effectiveness in enhancing skill development within the manufacturing sector, with a specific focus on industries based in Pune City. The study aims to identify the various components of apprenticeship training and the key factors influencing its implementation and impact on workforce readiness. Both primary and secondary data sources are utilized. Primary data is collected through structured interviews, formal and informal discussions, questionnaires, and direct observations involving trainees and managerial staff in selected manufacturing firms. Secondary data includes a comprehensive review of academic literature, industry reports, journals, and government publications. The research design follows a three-step approach: Review of Literature, Pilot Study, and the Main Study, which together aim to fill existing gaps in understanding the practical outcomes of apprenticeship programs in the manufacturing sector.
