Interviews were carried on 9 experts engaged in handball teaching, training, and rehabilitation work. We use Descriptive Statistics in SPSS Statistical Analysis for data statistics and analysis. RESULTS: There are no significant differences in biological age and training year between male and female adolescent handball athletes in Anqing City(Male vs. Female) (Age: 13.9 ± 3.1 vs. 12.2 ± 1.8y, p > 0.05; TY: 1.1 ± 1.0 vs. 1.2 ± 1.0y, p > 0.05). 109 out of 115 athletes have experienced sports injury, with an injury rate as high as 94.8%. The most common sports injury in girls are finger contusion, shoulder strain and waist sprain. Among them, the finger contusion in girls rank first, that the number of injury is 23, accounting for 20% of the total number. The top three sports injuries in boys are shoulder strain, waist sprain, and knee joint strain. Among them, the number of shoulder injury in boys is the highest, with a total of 25 people, accounting for 21.7% of the total number. A boy suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his knee joint, which is the most serious sports injury and end his sports career. CONCLUSION: Sports injury is very common in young handball athletes. The most common sports injuries are finger contusion, shoulder strain, waist sprain and knee joint injury, etc. Finger contusion and shoulder strain often occur in the process of passing and receiving handball, indicating a technical mistakes in passing and receiving. Knee and waist injuries easily happen during the athlete's fall after shooting, which proves that jumping force is excessive and exceeds the body's withstand ability.
