HISTORY: A 28-year-old recreationally trained male was used for this case study. He responded to a general announcement advertising healthy individuals' opportunities to participate in a research study. He had been implementing cardiovascular endurance exercises, distance running, and walking four months prior to this intervention. He completed a health history questionnaire. He did not self-report any previous participation in purification or detoxification programs. He did not report medications, herbal remedies, or nutritional supplements.
