Study of Intra-Pancreatic Fat's Impact on Acute Non-Biliary Pancreatitis with MRI Detection
Motivation: To explore the role of intra-pancreatic fat deposition (IPFD) in acute non-biliary pancreatitis (ANBP). Goal(s): To clarify the correlation between IPFD and the occurrence, progression, severity, and prognosis of ANBP. Establish a combined predictive model for the risk of ANBP based on clinical evidence. Approach: Ten normal individuals and ten patients with ANBP underwent upper abdominal 3.0T MRI mDixon-quant sequence scans, with ROI delineation performed for T1FFE/W, T1FFE/F, T2-STAR, R2-STAR, and FF value data analysis. Results: Patients with ANBP showed significantly increased T1FFE/W values, R2* values, and FF values compared to the healthy people (HP) group (P<0.05). Impact: Understanding the role of IPFD in pancreatic diseases is beneficial for preventing these diseases by controlling visceral fat accumulation. The application of MR fat quantification allows doctors to more effectively identify patients in need of intervention.
