Slovenska industrija – od ponosa do propada in razprodaje
The author sheds light on the long process of transformation of Slovenian society from agrarian to industrial and post-industrial. It was a broad and complex period in time, during which we witnessed multiple economic crises, the ravages of war, and changes in political and economic systems. These changes, among other things, contributed to the shifting relationship between labour, industry, and capital. The author begins the narrative in the 1830s, when the establishment of industrial plants began in earnest and intensified in the following decades with the expansion of the railway network. He traces the journey from the rise to the decline and eventual selling o' of industrial companies and brands, concluding with developments in independent Slovenia.
