Structural disconnection-based prediction of overall survival in glioblastoma and their transcriptional associations

Motivation: Understanding the prognostic significance of structural disconnections in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients. Goal(s): Advance understanding of the prognostic value of structural disconnection in GBM and underlying biological interactions , ultimately contributing to better patient stratification and novel therapeutic strategies. Approach: Employ a comprehensive methodology centered around the investigation of structural disconnections in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients. The study design can be summarized as follows: Cohort Selection MRI Data Acquisition Lesion Disconnectome Mapping Analysis of Disconnectome Metrics Integration of Gene Expression Data Validation and Robustness Testing Results: Widespread structural disconnections in the white matter are closely linked to adverse survival outcomes in GBM Impact: This research advances the field by linking structural brain disconnections to survival outcomes in glioblastoma, paving the way for personalized treatment strategies. Additionally, it underscores the importance of integrating imaging and molecular data, driving future investigations into targeted therapies.
