Novel algorithm for quantification of pancreatic exocrine function from Secretin-MRCP is concordant with endoscopic findings

Motivation: To improve MRCP with Secretin variability in determining exocrine pancreatic function (ePFT). Goal(s): To develop and assess a model for assessing ePFT based on MRCP with secretin modulation Approach: A retrospective study evaluating our new model compared to serum fecal elastase (FE) or ePFT. A reader-study was performed to assess radiologist variability. Results: 1) There was moderate agreement between radiologists in our reader study. 2) There was no correlation in any model derived variable and FE or between FE and ePFT. 4) There was a statistically significant difference in kappa delay derived from our model and ePFT. Impact: This novel paradigm may be a more effective comparator for ePFT in patients
