Neurofluid fluctuation analysis using dynamical network biomarker (DNB) MRI in idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus
Motivation: To further advance the analysis of temporal changes in the apparent diffusion coefficient in normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH). Goal(s): To establish a fluctuation magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), we applied dynamical network biomarker (DNB) analysis. Approach: We assessed diffusion MRI-derived DNB index (dMRI-DNB index) in iNPH. Results: The dMRI-DNB index in the frontal white matter was significantly higher in the iNPH compared with the control group. Impact: We establish the basis of DNB-MRI and its clinical application to iNPH. The dMRI-DNB index enables to assess fluctuation of the water molecule in the brain.
