A Dense Inductively Coupled Wireless Resonator Array for fMRI of Somatosensory and Motor Cortex at 5T

Motivation: This study is to design and implement a dense inductively coupled wireless resonator array to enhance functional MRI signal sensitivity in the human somatosensory and motor cortex. Goal(s): This study is to design and evaluate a dense inductively coupled wireless resonator array (ICWRA) specifically for the human somatosensory and motor cortex. Approach: The methodology integrates this proposed coil with a secondary 48-channel receive head array to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and functional sensitivity of magnetic resonance imaging. Results: The study demonstrates the feasibility and advantages of this ICWRA designed in improving functional sensitivity and SNR in ultra-high field fMRI applications. Impact: This study is to design and implement a dense inductively coupled wireless resonator array (ICWRA) to enhance functional MRI signal sensitivity in the human somatosensory and motor cortex.
