Self-decoupled Wireless array for SNR enhancement in 5T MRI
Motivation: To enhance SNR for imaging complex human structures and to address the coupling issues in wireless surface coil arrays. Goal(s): In order to achieve uniform SNR gain by self-decoupled wireless array, which can significantly improve the SNR performance. Approach: In this study, we designed a 12 channel self-decoupled wireless array and compared its SNR performance with a single knee coil. Results: The wireless array significantly provided about twice the SNR gain as well as uniform SNR gain. Impact: This work promises better MRI image quality and potential broader applications in MRI.
