Application of Zoomit-DTI in Assessing Fetal Brain White Matter Development in Pregnancies Complicated by Maternal Diabetes
Motivation: To assess the development of fetal brain white matter and sulcal maturation in pregnant women with GDM using Zoomit DTI. Goal(s): To evaluate the differences in fetal brain white matter development between pregnant women with GDM and control pregnant women. Approach: 16 pregnant women with GDM and 9 control pregnant women. underwent MRI examination between 31 and 37 weeks of gestation. The diffusion tensor imaging model and spherical deconvolution were applied to analyze the data. Results: FA, MD, RD and AD values were significant differences in the GDM group and the control group. Impact: This study reveals the microstructural differences in fetal brain white matter development in pregnant women with GDM. Zoomit - DTI may be helpful for the early diagnosis and intervention of the neurodevelopmental risks of fetuses in pregnant women with GDM.
