Research strategy for improving aliasing artifacts caused by DRB (Deep Resolve Boost)

Motivation: Scanning using DRB (Deep Resolve Boost) can improve image quality while reducing scanning time. However, it may cause artifacts in certain cases. Goal(s): This study was designed to identify and improve aliasing artifacts occurring in axial T2-weighted images of L-spine MRI. Approach: The control group was scanned using DRB, experimental group 1 was scanned using modified GRAPPA parameters, and experimental group 2 was scanned using an additional coil. The frequency and pattern of the aliasing artifacts that occurred were analyzed. Results: Fewer artifacts were observed in experimental groups 1 and 2 compared to the control group. Impact: DRB requires attention as it can generate new types of artifacts not observed in existing techniques. Therefore, research is needed to understand and improve the artifacts introduced by DRB imaging techniques.
