Establishment of a prognostic risk stratification system for HCC based on AFP-morphology
Motivation: Construct a hepatocellular carcinoma prognostic stratification system based on AFP and tumor morphology to screen patients who benefit from surgery, and explore the reasons for poor prognosis in high-risk group. Goal(s): The HCC prognosis risk stratification system based on AFP - tumor morphology can categorize patients. Approach: Based on AFP-tumor morphology, patients were categorized and Kaplan-Meier curves plotted by survival status. High-risk and low-risk groups underwent KEGG and immune cell infiltration analyses. Results: The AFP-based HCC risk stratification system can categorize patients. Poor prognosis in high-risk patients may be linked to abnormal cell cycle activation, and targeting it with drugs can enhance immunotherapy efficacy. Impact: 1.The AFP-morphology-based HCC prognostic risk stratification system can categorize patients into low, medium, and high-risk groups. 2.High-risk patient prognosis may suffer due to cell cycle abnormalities. Targeting the cell cycle with drugs could boost immunotherapy efficacy and improve outcomes.
