Optimising Spine Imaging with AIR Recon DL (ARDL): Enhancing Patient Care through Improved Efficiency and Diagnostic Value
Motivation: This study is motivated by the need to improve patient comfort while retaining diagnostic quality in MRI spine protocols using AIR Recon DL (ARDL). Goal(s): The goal is to assess whether AIR Recon DL (ARDL) reduces MRI scan times and improves image quality for spine imaging compared to standard protocols. Approach: A retrospective analysis was conducted on spine MRI data from 26 patients to compare image quality ratings and scan times between AIR Recon DL (ARDL) and standard protocols. Results: AIR Recon DL (ARDL) protocol demonstrated significantly higher image quality ratings and reduced scan times across all spine regions compared to standard protocols. Impact: The results demonstrate that ARDL can significantly reduce MRI scan times while improving image quality, enhancing patient comfort and clinical workflow. This study enables further exploration into AI-driven imaging techniques and their broader implications for patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
