Super-resolution MRI with 3D cones
Motivation: MRI of tissues with fast signal decay at high resolution is challenging. The COMBINE method uses different signal combinations of RF phase-cycled bSSFP data to increase spatial resolution, though has only been applied to Cartesian trajectories. Goal(s): We aim to extend COMBINE to non-Cartesian trajectories, giving new opportunities for measuring rapidly decaying signals. Approach: We implement the COMBINE super-resolution approach with a 3D Cones SSFP acquisition, exploiting additional signal components extracted from RF phase-cycled SSFP datasets. Results: The proposed COMBINE 3D Cones acquisition gives the ability to resolve finer structures than the nominal acquisition trajectory. Impact: Non-Cartesian COMBINE opens new avenues for super-resolution UTE imaging and broadening clinical applications.
