The age-related trend in the diffusion tensor image analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS)

Motivation: The Diffusion Tensor Image Analysis along the Perivascular Space (DTI-ALPS) has been applied to the study of various diseases. However, the changes in their trajectories throughout the lifespan remain unclear. Goal(s): To explore the trajectory of ALPS changes throughout adulthood. Approach: Using linear, polynomial, and exponential models to characterize the life trajectory of ALPS. Results: The polynomial model best represents the life trajectory of the left ALPS, while the linear model most effectively represents the right ALPS. Impact: This study contributes to understanding the relationship between ALPS and age and the differences in ALPS between the two hemispheres of the brain.
