Optical holographic-assisted 3D manufacturing of acoustically levitated photopolymers
We introduce a holography-assisted acoustic additive manufacturing (HAAM) method that integrates spatial light modulation with acoustic levitation for substrate-free 3D printing. By using computer-generated holography to shape a 450nm diode laser beam, our technique enables simultaneous photopolymerization at multiple focal points within levitated resin droplets. Acoustic manipulation precisely positions droplets, yielding self-supporting lattices and freeform architectures with enhanced curing depth and resolution. This innovative approach opens new avenues for advanced photonic device fabrication and high-resolution micro-scale additive manufacturing.
